We perform our surgeries on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. We understand that most people have to work, so in order to speed you on your way, we open up at 7:30 A.M. on these mornings but only for drop-offs. The drop-off procedure is relatively quick and we should have you on your way within 5 or 10 minutes. When you drop your pet off, the receptionists will go over several things with you. One thing they will ask you is if you would like us to run a preanesthetic blood screen before placing your pet under anesthesia. This may be an option but in some cases we will require bloodwork to be performed for the safety of your pet. The receptionists will also make sure that we have a phone number where we can get in touch with you during the day. Finally the receptionists will ask that you call us between 12:00 and 2:00 pm. At this time all the procedures should be done and we will have had time to observe your pet in recovery. When you call we can give you a time when we feel your pet can go home.
