Robert Worster bob4.jpg

Bob started with us in 2006.  He was   born in Queens, New York and has lived in Florida since 1997.  Before becoming a   technician, Bob was a jockey.  After 20 years of taking a beating from riding horses, he decided to try handling dogs and cats instead of 1,000 lb horses.  He has two cats and like most people that work at veterinary offices he adopted them as strays that came into the hospital.  He had a contest   with his co-workers to name them and the winning names were Shea and Dale.

Outside of work Bob likes horseracing (of course), the Mets and the Oakland Raiders.  He is also interested in traveling and meeting new people.

  Perla Spiers

Perla was originally born in Puerto Rico and she still has family there.  She has also lived in Panama with the Amazon Jungle as her back yard.  Eventually, in 1996, she moved here to Florida with her parents.

Perla came to us in 2002 as a high school student who wanted to observe the Doctor. We occasionally let students come in to observe, to see what was involved with being a veterinarian.  Usually the observation period is relatively short and we do not see the students again. Perla, however, wanted to continue coming into the hospital to do volunteer work.  After a period of time we decided we couldn't allow her to keep volunteering so we put her on the payroll and she eventually worked her way into a technician position.

Perla is fluent in Spanish and although Dr. Eger dabbles in Spanish it is very helpful to have someone fluent in in the language to assist in translating to our Spanish speaking clients.  Due to allergies in Perla's family she was not allowed to have dogs or cats but did have a pet parrot.  Now that she is an adult working in a veterinary hospital, she is exposed to many dogs and cats and has to take weekly allergy shots to keep from reacting.

Stacey Curotolo

Stacey had been a receptionist with us and has successfully completed her training to be a technician.  She grew up on Long Island and moved to Florida in 1991.  She has had several jobs dealing with animals.  She worked for a boarding facility, had a pet sitting  service and worked for the Palm Beach Zoo preparing animal diets and as a zookeeper.  She is currently enrolled in the vet tech program at St. Petersburg College to further her knowledge.

Stacey has a 2 year old blue Chihuahua named "Joey".  She adopted him from the Humane Society.  He had a growth plate fracture of his front leg when he was a puppy and had to wear a hard cast for a while.  He could not walk normally with the cast and hopped around like a baby kangaroo - a "Joey".  He   was named by the technicians at the humane society.  She also has two 5 year old cats named  "Kismet" and "Chloe".
